Looks good so far

I like it so far. The backgrounds were well done and the animation was cool. Keeping the filesize "small" could be a problem (for dialup users). I'm looking forward to the finished movie.

FireHound responds:

Yeah I know... frame by frame really 'ups' the filesize... But nice to know that you liked it. btw, YOU should make more movies... always kewl to watch :)

Why did you resubmit?

I saw this a couple of days ago. Why did you resubmit it?

Another one, great!

Wow. I think most people don't seem to realize that the animation was created for a music video and expect a plot. You could mention that at the start of the movie. Overall, as the score indicates, most people like it so just ignore the complainers. No movie can satisfy everyone.

About the preloader: let the full movie load before displaying the Start button. (The button showed up quickly but the movie stopped halfway due to slow connection)

BADMAN responds:

You're right on both counts. Thank you. Loader is fixed now.

Nice movie

I like your style. Very well done. The pink appliences were cool :)
Excellent job!

Promising work

Looks good for a first movie. If you want a preloader that displays percentage loaded and haven't found one yet or don't know how to do it, e-mail me (see profile for e-mail). Try to reduce the size of the movie. There are many detailed graphics and sound but try to compress them. There are many techniques that you'll learn with practice (just as I did). As for the complainers, ignore them. No movie can satisfy everybody.

Thanx fer the support!
Tom fulp provided me now with a cool preloader and I added a few modifications... hes a life saver!
Thank you and all my viewers =0)

Pretty good

The traced bitmaps gave the movie an interesting style. For the backgrounds tracing was ok but I didn't like the traced people. Not sure why - maybe because you drew most people in Flash. Actually, if you have an swf file, you can import it into an .fla file. You'll lose the tweenings but you can continue the animation. I'm not sure what happens to sounds. I haven't tried that. Anyways, good job!

You made the classic noob mistake

Newbies think that that's all you need to create a button. In my opinion you forgot one of most important elements: hit area. Without it, if someone uses text only, you have to click on the text - which can be annoying.
As for being on the frontpage - I don't think that a tutorial that is exactly the same as in Flash with no originality could make it. ever.
There is a lot more to buttons. If you add everything that reviewers suggest, then it should be ok.

Good effort

Overall, good job. I liked the graphics very much. Great style. As other also mentioned, the vampires could've moved instead of waiting to be slauthered. The voices need more emotions. They seemed kind of monotone. I know, I tried to record voice for my movie but I ended up with similarly monotone results. Then my brother did most of the voices. If possible, have different voice actors. To bring the file size down, instead of using music clips, try loops.
Have fun with the next one!

Poor Horace ...

Horace didn't make it this time either :(

Overall, it's not bad but I liked ep1 better.

I didn't read your "Author's comments" and at first I didn't know how he got into the hallway. Maybe, mention that before the movie starts - in the movie.

The dog growling was good at first but the images didn't convey a menacing dog. Also, it seemed to walk after Horace but running/chasing might be more appropriate. Looping the dog growling didn't work for me either. I liked in ep1 that a pigeon eye showed up with the pigeon cooing (is that the right word?).

About Tuti TV: graphics are 75% done but my brother has been busy so we couldn't work on the dialogue and voice recording.

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism. He was in the hallway because he was left there by someone who didn't like him. Someone had built a maze or trap for him to die there. I looped the dog growling cause I couldn't find a decent angry dog barking sound effect. I get most of my sound effects on the net and sometimes it's hard to find exactly the right thing. I was lucky to even find that one pigeon cooing sound for the previous episode. Hope to see your tutitv soon when it's done.

Good start...

...but needs a little more.

You could a couple more things to happen in the background. Also, some of the birds seemed to fly away but then suddenly came back. Maybe you could make them enter from the side of the screen and slowly fly away into the sunset.

In my opinion, this could be a good "relaxation" type movie if you add sounds or appropriate slow music.
Cheers,
