It started out good with the visuals appearing in sync with the music. Maybe you can add more content for next Pico Day. ;)

p.s. What happened to scene in the thumb image? I was expecting a psychedelic dream based on that.

chrisbasso responds:

That was a deleted Scene I wasn't going to use. thanks for rating.

Very nice

I love watching these loops over and over and over and over and over and ... you get the point :) Both black and white and color versions are great!

Hope to see another similar collab in the future.

I was wondering about Flash "screen savers" but haven't really looked into it yet. I know, there is the fullScreen() thingy in Flash so if there's no sound option for screen savers then a simple .swf or .exe projector file might do the trick. That's how videos (e.g. youtube) work, so there has to be a way. I'm not sure about the scaling but that's probably just detail.

M-Shack responds:

thx. we used a prgram that converted swfs to screen save formats. Im sure there is somethign out there to allow sound

You killed StickMan Sam!

NOOOOO!!! You cannot kill StickMan Sam, lol! He'll be back soon. I created him so I should know. No offence taken, whether you like StickMan Sam or not ;)

Great music / song and the animation suits the song well. Keep it up!

stoners-lunchbox responds:

LOL... nah stickman Sam is ok... but since it's the most popular stick movie i knew it would've had a bigger impact if i used him as a "buried stick" rather than just "A" stick... But Stickman Sam is cool. Just some of the other stick movies that kind of suck...

Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

Interesting continuation.

Did Joseph gain weitght :D? His cheeks on the 3d Joseph seemed rounder then in 2d Flash. Hmmm.
Other than that, seemed like an interesting episode, though as another reviewer also mentioned the ambience was very different then in the 2d flash version. Perhaps darker colors might help and could be a little longer.

Violet-AIM responds:

lol Maybe he's been eating too much good food. Well, if I can figure out how to reduce file size, then perhaps I could go a bit longer. Anyways, I might submit another part of this movie later, since this is only the beginning. Maybe I could try to make the lighting more dim, so it would be darker. Thanks for the suggestions Istvan.

Another reat Lepo episode!

Great visuals and well done story. Hopefully one day Lepo will survive and live happily ever after :) But then things might be pretty boring so it may be better if finds more "adventures".

Istvan

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks Istvan. It's pretty hard for Lepo to survive, he's just a little guy and maybe his instincts aren't too good either, but he'd rather have fun and die trying.

Go Horace!

Ok, this was so far the least eventful Horace episode but that is due to the movie on which the animation is based. As always, I like your style of the movie. The style of the movie is definite reminder of those "old" horror movies. Horror movies back then had a lot of talking and had less visual gore e.g. the original Psycho. Good job and looking forward to the next Horace :)

Istvan

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for the review Istvan. There was something I had liked about that old style dialogue and the fact that it was a very old horror movie, back when things were very tame. Currently working on Horace 5. :)

Great continuation of the horror spoof

As this episode 2, be sure to watch episode 1 first!
The dark visuals, creepy sound and storyline is very fitting to the spooky feel of the "Evil" Furby attack. Good job!
I didn't mind the button to advance the text as other reviewers. Perhaps in the next episode the text would be shown for a certain amount of time and add a Stop/Play button for people that need more time with reading. There would be only one button that would change from Stop to Play and vice versa.
Looking forward to the next one :)
Istvan

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks Istvan for the review. Well, I'll be working on ep. 3 sometime later. I might just ditch the button altogether in the next one.

Nicely detailed spooky movie

The detailed graphics and style gives the movie a very spooky feeling. Great job! The sounds were good enough for a non-professional animation. Just one question: it seems strange that neither the man in the lazyboy nor the girl in the shower moved after the first bite. Not even a sound. Maybe those are Hypnotic Furbies? Yes, probably that's what happened because they can hypnotize you with their big creepy eyes. No wonder people see them as evil - lol :)
Anyways, keep pu the great work.

Violet-AIM responds:

They were too stunned to move maybe, lol. Good point, I probably could've shown more movement for realism, but wasn't thinking of it at the time. Thanks for the support Istvan.

Not bad but not exactly a tribute

I wouldn't really call this a tribute because it has almost the same plot as Marshmallow Madness (hence low style and overall score). Making your own plot or at least making lots of changes to the original would've been better. Other than that, the animation part is well done.
Cheers,
~Istvan

toxicbomb responds:

ok, im not even going to say anything...

Excellent "Behind the Scenes" for GM4

Great job guys! Funny, well done "Behind the Scenes" look at the Ghost Motel series. It was interesting to meet the "ghosts behind the actors" :)

A few other things:
1) there was one scene in the commentary where both the commentators and people in the watched movie were talking at the same time. It was a bit distracting.
2) At the end of Outtake 4, Tabitha could've said something like "Hey, Joseph ..." or "Hey, Joseph! I know how we can get free tickets" or something similar because as of now Outtake 4 is kind of open ended.

Anyways, keep up the excellent work and I hope to see GM5 in the near future :)

~Istvan

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for the review Istvan. It was kind of tricky getting the film they were watching to match with what the ghosts were talking about since I had it on another movie clip/layer, so I probably didn't notice it that much about the voices being simultaneous, but thanks for bringing that up. And good idea about the "how to get free tickets thing". lol
